Gran Torino Movie Review
In this drama, Eastwood plays the role of a retired, recent widower. Estranged from his two sons and somewhat of a loner, Eastwood reluctantly becomes involved when gangs start harassing his neighbors and he becomes the hero of the neighborhood.
Though the movie has a very serious, realistic plot, it is very comical in parts and the dialogue has the audience chuckling outloud. Eastwood not only directed the movie but is also the main, if not only, star in the film. The film has a surprise ending but is well worth seeing. The time flew by and I didn't want the movie to end.
Eastwood was at his finest in this movie- I kept hearing him say "make my day."- it made mine

One of the best movies I have ever seen. The people in the theater I saw it in applauded when the movie was over, something I have rarely seen and I have been to a lot of movies in the last 40+ years. The fact Eastwood did not get a Best Director nod for this movie is a crime. Scenes in the barber shop when Eastwood is trying to teach "toad" how to converse like a man made me laugh so hard I cried. AND I admit I had tears in my eyes at the end of the movie.

I agree. I loved this movie but without Eastwood there would have been no movie. No other actor could have played the role because the role is Clint Eastwood. I heartily recommend the movie and will see it again.
