George Clayton plays a corporate attorney with unusual skills and duties as a fixer for the firm. As the audience finds out more about what a fixer does and how he does it, more and more is revealed about Michael Clayton, and his moral conflicts in how he does this special job. This is not what I usually expect from George Clooney and suggests and actor with more skill than Clooney is often credited with. I like an ending that wraps up all the loose ends and also leaves me satisfied that good has triumphed over evil. This movies manages to do that while still revealing and even emphasizing the flaws of the main character.
