Clean and Sober Movie Review
Michael Keaton gives a stellar performance as Daryl Poynter, a real estate broker with a dangerous cocaine addiction. He wakes to find a female acquaintance dead of a drug induced heart attack in his condo. In debt and with the police after him, Poynter decides to run and hide in a treatment facility. There he is met with the no bull shit tactics of Craig (Morgan Freeman) his drug counselor, who's a recovering addict himself. There Poynter is given one last chance to kick his habit or face the cold consequences.
Clean and Sober is a very powerful movie depicting the dangers of drugs and the lives of addicts and the people in their lives. Every actor in this movie is outstanding in their respective roles. I like how the movie neither glamorized nor sugar coated drugs and drug addiction. I also enjoyed Freeman's confrontational counseling practices. I feel like Clean and Sober is one of the most honest depictions of drug addiction and drug treatment. Days of Wine and Roses is another.

This sounds interesting. Days of Wine and Roses was one of the first honest movies to confront the addiction of alcohol.
