The Jack Bull Movie Review
John Cusack is excellent in the role of Mylr Redding, a horse trader who demands justice from the neighboring rancher who has mistreated Meryl's horses and beaten his Indian friend. The lengths to which Redding will go to seek this justice is likened to the jaws of the Jack Bull that can not be pried from its's victim until the dog is dead.
John Goodman is also excellent in the role of the Judge dispensing the Justice sought. Though he does not have a lot of screen time, Goodman dominated every scene he was in while still showing respect to the character played by Cusack and the skill with which Cusack played the role.
The movie featured beautiful scenery and beautiful animals. Horse lovers will be appalled at the treatment of the horses by the movies villain, Henry Ballard, played by LQ Jones. The audience will be won over by the story line and the heroism and determination shown by Cusack as Redding. This is a memorable movie with excellent acting and technical direction for a small movie about a good story.
