Places in the Heart Movie Review
Places in the Heart is a touching movie about a young widow(Sally Field) who struggles to keep her two young children and her home in 1930 Texas during the depression. The movie illustrates the emotional and physical trials a woman faced during this period in our nations history. Combined with the struggles of depression and poverty, the story also aptly presents the racial problems our county faced when a hired hand (Danny Glover) is chosen to help farm her land. John Malkovich is unforgettable as a bitter, blind boarder. Also included in the movie are scenes of a twister tornado showing the devastation they cause along tornado alley. The acting by Sally Field, John Malkovich and Danny Glover are excellent and the plot and struggles faced by all are long to be remembered.
