Once in a while a movie comes along that touches your heart and soul.  There are no special effects, no fast pace drama but you like it and want to see it again.

Driving Miss Daisy, starring Jessica Tandy, Morgan Freeman and Dan Akroyd is such a movie-a tender, moving story of friendship, loyalty and trust.

Jessica Tandy is wealthy woman living in Georgia with a doting son Dan Akroyd who is concerned about his mother's driving so he hires Morgan Freeman to be her chauffeur.  His mother is a very independent person and is strongly opposed to the decision.

The movie spans about 30 years and during this time we see the racial and religious prejudices prevalent at this time and how the friendship between Jessica and Morgan- old woman and chauffeur deepens.

This movie is about 20 years old but it's message is ageless- it won an Academy Award and it deserved it.
