Too Hot to Handle

Kathleen Turner is believable as Mattie Walker in this sexy mystery/thriller. We believe that she is sexy enough to convince William Hurt, as Ned Racine, to engage in a plot to kill her husband for his money. The supporting cast in this movie is excellent and includes Richard Crenna as the husband Edmund Walker: Ted Danson as lawyer and district attorney Peter Lowenstein: and Mickey Rourke as Teddy Lewis.

Kathleen Turner, though, is what makes this movie work. We watch her convince Ned that it is his idea to kill her husband and it is his plan to do the deed. Finally, as the plot seems to fall apart and the killers seem to suffer their punishment, we realize, along with Ned, that everyone has been following direction from Mattie, the actors, the director, the writers, even the audience. We have all fallen for Mattie and Kathleen Turner made it so.

Excellent movie for the mystery buff as well as those just looking for a sexy movie or a good story line to follow.
