Fear Movie Review
David McCall (Mark Wahlberg) is a mysterious yet charming, clean-cut All-American young man who catches the eye of Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon). McCall not only charms Nicole but also her family with his 'yes sirs and no sirs', his polite attitude and his shy smile. A guy like this must be too good to be true, right? RIGHT! As the movie goes on, his mask of kindness peels away bit by bit until we see his true colors.
Fear is a superb suspense that is unrelenting; it never gives the viewer a chance for a breather. It's like Play Misty for Me for teens, but with the obsessive male instead of the obsessive female.
Wahlberg does an excellent job with his role a David McCall. He plays a very convincing psychopath who doesn't let anyone stand in the way of him having Nicole. The tension in Fear keeps building and building until the climatic ending. The only thing the Walker family has to fear is David McCall.
