This is a drama about a young man, Cole Sear, played by Haley Joel Osment who "Sees Dead People". He not only sees them but communicates with them and trys to help them realize that they are dead and solve the dilemma or ease the confusion they feel about their own death. Bruce Willis as Dr. Malcolm Crowe, is the psychologist contacted by Cole's mother to try to help him. It becomes a different relationship as the story line is explored and Cole turns out to be the one helping everyone. The dramatic revelation near the end of the movie is one of the most effectively handled surprise endings that I have ever seen in a movie. I recommend the movie for the story line and the excellent acting by both Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment. Mostly, I recommend this movie because it is the kind of movie that leaves you thinking and mulling over the story long after you have left the movie theater so that it is truly a memorable experience.
