Where the Wild Things Are Movie Review
This film is fantastic. It is the best time I have had at the movie theater in ages. It is about Max, a nine year old, who feels abandoned by his sister and misunderstood by his mother. One night after an altercation with his mother, he runs out of the house and off into the wilderness. He finds a boat and sails away. After a while, he finds an island inhabited by the 'wild things' and becomes their king. Adventures ensue. This film is beautiful. It is expertly directed, well acted (especially by the new comer, and lead, Max Records), and the scenery is amazing. I had a great time. I will not judge if this is appropriate for children or not. But be forewarned, I cried more during this film than I have in a long time. Go see this great film if you haven't already. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll go on a great adventure of self discovery with Max.
