Informant Movie Review
The Informant starring Matt Damon and Scott Bakula is well worth seeing. It tells the true story of Mark Whitacre, a ADM employee who goes undercover to help the FBI catch executives for price fixing and other illegal activities.
Matt Damon is superb as Mark who at first appears to be an innocent employee who wants nothing more than to see the criminals caught and justice upholded. However, as the movie proceeds, one discovers that Mark is in fact guilty himself of stealing millions of dollars and is sentenced to 9 years in prison.
Scott Bakula does an admirable and believable job as the FBI agent who works to get the information from Whitacre.
The acting by both Damon and Bakula are well worth the price of the ticket. The story line is a little surprising but realistic and unfortunately very believable. It shows that crime doesn't pay- no matter how little you think you've taken and you must pay the price.
