The recent death of Paul Newman caused me to think of this movie. It is a classic and added greatly to the reputation of both Newman and Redford both as actors and also as buddies. My favorite scenes I am sure are shared by most fans, the jump from the cliff into the raging river and the last run with guns blazing. I also remember with a certain feeling of peace, the scene with Newman on a bicycle. The back ground music and playfulness of the scene suggest a certain level of peace and serenity that escaped not only
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but most people. The next time you are stuck on a bad weather Sunday afternoon with nothing you have to do, you could spend the time worse than in watching again this real Classic.
