Cheaper by the Dozen Movie Review
The 1950's movie Cheaper by the Dozen is a must see for anyone who wants to be entertained and wants to learn some history and culture. It is a true story about the life of Frank Gilbreth, a pioneer of motion study, and of his large family based on a book written by two of his children, Frank Jr. and Ernestine.
Set in Rhode Island and in New Jersey, the movie traces the life of Frank Gilbreth and his wife Lillian and tells of the their trials and tribulations raising their twelve children. The hilarious movie tells of the father's motion study ideas and his use of his children as guinea pigs to test out his theories.
The movie stars Clifton Webb as Frank Gilbreth Sr and Myra Loy as his wife Lillian. They and the rest of the actors do an excellent job.
There is a newer movie with Steve Martin called Cheaper By the Dozen which is enjoyable but the 1950's version is the true classic.
I highly recommend this for everyone
