Nothing but the Truth is an interesting, thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seats.    Set in Washington D.C.  the movie stars  Kate Beckinsale, Alan Alda and  Matt Dillon .  It is based on a true story about a young newspaper reporter who writes about the CIA.  When her story is published, the media get involved and the reporter(Kate Beckinsale) is placed in jail because she refuses to reveal her source.  The movie not only deals with the story but is a depressing look at her year long time in prison- she's the enemy because she won't release her source.  Her story won her a pulitzer award but she's kept in prison- even the supreme courts rules againg her.

I briefly remember hearing the story when it happened but until I saw the movie I wasn't aware of what all the reporter had to endure.

The acting by Kate, Matt and particularly Alan Alda is excellent.  This movie should be seen by all adult viewers who are interested in learning the truth and how our government and judicial system work.
