WALL·E Movie Review
I enjoy most of what Pixar releases but this film does not live up to the standards they have built for themselves. This film tries to be two things at once and fails to achieve either. Wall-E is a robot marooned on a deserted Earth many years in the future. Wall-E is then taken to the ship that houses the remnants of the human race. The film tries to be both a serious adult film with an environmental message and a fun kids film with laughs. The two halves of this film oppose each other and neither side steps up as the films intent. The message Pixar tries to send with the first half of the film gets lost in the child humor. If you want to see a Pixar film watch Cars or Toy Story 1 or 2.

I disagree entirely...Wall-E did try two different things and it can be viewed successfully as either one despite the vast difference in objective of the plot segments. And if you think that Cars is a good example of a Pixar movie, I assure you, any of the other movies Pixar has made are superior choices.
