I've read several reviews here on POPCORN CONFESSIONS, of movies starring actor, Morgan Freeman.  I've enjoyed reading each review of Freeman's movies.  Yet, among my more memorable movies with Freeman is, DRIVING MISS DAISY.

I saw this movie again a few weeks ago, and was reminded about how versatile Freeman is as an actor.  It was delightful watching this movie again. For those of you who missed this movie, I hope you will rent it or purchase the DVD.

Freeman is brilliant in the manner that he captures the persona of an older 'Negro' chauffeur of the 40's.  Assisted by the award-winning performance by Jessica Tandy, Freeman's character emerges with eloquence, capturing how a friendship evolves between two individuals in the South - one white and a Jew, and one 'colored'- both who had to come to grips with racism.

But more than that, DRIVING MISS DAISY is a poignant story about a man and a woman who over several decades grow to depend on one another. It is a story about friendship, devotion, and companionship.

I highly recommend this movie of all who may have missed this wonderful film.

I thoroughly enjoy your reviews. I hadn't thought of Driving Miss Daisy but I think it's one of the first Morgan Freeman movies I saw. Your Shawshank review is one of the best I've read.

Keep on writing- I'm learning alot from your writng. I'm going to have to watch African Queen and Ox-Bow Incident again- it's been years
