This was one of those movies that really delivers more than you expect it to.  It's an unmistakable Adam Sandler movie, unlike a some of his semi-drama films lately (Spanglish, Punch Drunk Love), so you should be more confident about what you're getting.  

You can see how his films have matured since his Billy Madison days.  It definitely feels a lot more finished and polished.

It's a great movie for kids and my stepson Johnny really loved it.  He gives it his full endorsement, something he rarely does so heartily.
