I recently saw Kathleen Turner in another movie and it reminded me of one of my favorites- Body Heat. In this suspenseful, plot twisting movie, Kathleen plays the role of Mattie Walker, who with a young lawyer Ned Racine plots to kill her husband. Set in Florida in the heat of summer, Mattie meets Ned and the two immediately begin a torrid relationship. She's rich but wants more. Her husband is gone during the week on business. She convinces Ned she loves him and with his help they could get it all. The plot has many twists and surprises. The acting by all is excellent. Kathleen Turner is sizzling as Mattie, William Hurt is wonderful as Ned Racine and Richard Crenna dutifully plays the role of her husband. I first saw the movie in the early 80's and reviewed it again recently. Even though I knew what was happening I enjoyed it again. It's a combination of love story, murder mystery and suspenseful drama rolled in one.
