I hesitated going to see the movie Marley and Me because I knew it was a true movie and I didn't know if I could stand the ending- I can honestly say that I'm glad I saw it. Based on a true story and a best selling book by John Grogan the movie chronicles the life of a young married couple who get a yellow lab puppy and the experiences they have with him over the course of his life time. Most of the escapades are hilarious which most dog owners can relate to. As the dog ages, the viewer realizes what's coming and, like Old Yeller, the ending is a little hard to accept. The acting by Owen Wilson, Jennifer Anniston is excellent. Even Alan Arkin and Kathleen Turner are in the movie and do a very good job. Though emotional at the end, it is very well done and the real message of the movie comes through. Dogs don't care how rich you are, what you look like or what kind of house you live in. They only want to be loved and cared for and will give the same back to you. No wonder they're called man's best friend
